Join James Beard Award-winning chef Sean Brock for a Southern-style dinner and book signing in Phoenix in celebration of his first cookbook, "Heritage."

The signing and dinner event is scheduled for Monday, Nov.

17, at the Newton in central Phoenix. The complex houses Changing Hands Bookstore and chef Justin Beckett's new restaurant, Southern Rail.

The cookbook can be purchased at the pre-dinner signing, starting at 5:30 p.m. The dinner runs from 6-8:30 p.m.

Brock, known for his drive to preserve heritage foods of the South, will sign books before Beckett serves a four-course dinner at his modern Southern eatery.

Brock also will greet diners at their tables to sign books and answer questions.
