I wanted to find out more about the extraordinary life of actor Robert Newton, and this was the only biography available. The reviews on Amazon were not particularly kind, and I would agree with the criticisms about the lack of photos (surely what you want from a show-biz biography!) and the tendency to go off on a tangent.
