Yossi Sheffi (born April 10, 1948) is the Elisha Gray II Professor of Engineering Systems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He founded or co-founded five companies, has authored numerous scientific publications and nine books.^[1]

He obtained his BSc from the Technion in Israel in 1975, his SM from MIT in 1977, and PhD from MIT in 1978.

He now resides in Boston, Massachusetts.^[2]

Yossi Sheffi has served as the Director of the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics since 1992. From 2007 to 2012 he was the Director of the MIT Engineering Systems Division.
